Westgate Hotel Las Vegas

Westgate Hotel Las Vegas

Today I will talk about the resort we stayed in during our recent Las Vegas trip and show the incredible price ($26 per night, when most rates were $150) at which we booked our rooms on my TripSpin Website.

The four-star Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, formerly the Hilton, offers a good overnight option for a city trip to Las Vegas. This hotel is located in the city center and has a long history. It also is at a monorail stop, which is our favorite way to traverse the Strip.

When this Casino and Hotel opened in 1969 as I recall it was the largest casino hotel in the world. Elvis did over 850 sold out shows here, entertaining over 2.5 million fans. There is a statue of Elvis in the lobby and you can tour his private suite which the hotel has preserved.

(Here I am with Elvis on the 4th of July!)

Westgate is located at good location, Eastern Strip-side; it is only a short walk to Las Vegas Convention Center from the Westgate, Las Vegas Resort & Casino. This hotel is also 2 miles from Fashion Show Mall. This 2956-rooms hotel caters to business and leisure travelers alike. This 4-star hotel has a spa and casino. Also available: 10 restaurants. The property is located near the airport, close to the University of Nevada and Las Vegas Premium Outlets.

In the surrounding area, you will find attractions such as the Hoover Dam, the Red Rock Canyon, the Valley of Fire, the Grand Canyon, the Neon Museum and Boneyard and the Pinball Hall of Fame. There are a variety of hotels, casinos, restaurants, bars, clubs and all kinds of shopping right on the Las Vegas Strip. There is also a stop for the Las Vegas Monorail train station. McCarran International Airport is approximately 8 km away.

Facilities & Services

The air-conditioned building houses 2,956 rooms and suites on 30 floors. It has a lobby with 24-hour reception, lifts, a hotel safe, a business center and wireless Internet access. The complex has a total of 9 restaurants, as well as several bars, lounges, and cafés.

There is also a buffet, which we got free for breakfast with our booking. The pool area includes a large outdoor pool, large Jacuzzi, and deckchairs. There are snack and pool bars and 18 private cabanas for a fee. There is a very well equipped gym and six tennis courts in the outdoor complex.

The hotel has an area of 6,900 m² and offers a lot of fun. Entertainment is not as varied as some of the newer hotels but there are a variety of comedy  shows, lesser known singers and a topless revue show. For relaxation, there is a spa, a salon, and a fitness center. Boutiques and shops invite you to go shopping, although again at a much , much smaller scale than the fancier hotels such as the Venetian. An 18,500 m² area is available for conferences and events.

Question: What about other hotel prices?

Answer: I compared prices for the Bellagio Hotel and the Venetian Hotel using the same July dates. As you can see below, the TripSpin SNAP prices are much cheaper. So, click on the link to get your free account and start saving!

Bellagio Hotel Comparison:

I used the same six nights, from July 1st to July 7th as in my actual booking.

Result:

Hotels.com: $192 per night

TripSpin SNAP: $140 per night

You save $52 per room per night!

So using the same example of two rooms that I actually booked we have a savings of $624 for the six nights by using TripSpin SNAP.

(2 rooms times 6 nights times $52 per night savings = $624 total savings)

WOW! $26!? That’s absolutely insane! I can’t believe you can pay such a low amount with TripSpin and get to see Las Vegas on such a tiny budget! I haven’t been out of the city for 2 years but that’s got to stop now that I know there are these unbelievable deals available. How much money do you think a family of 4 would need for a 4 day vacation to Las Vegas? And let’s say I managed to find a $40 per night accommodation. Thanks, Xin!

      Hello Marcy,
Yes, I agree $26 a night for the storied Westgate Resort (formerly the Hilton and where Elvis Presley did his 850 performances in Las Vegas) is an insane price. It is however, the type of price you can find on my site. I recently published a blog for a $25 a night price for a 4 star hotel on the Island of Crete in Greece. So, this type of price isn’t a rarity on my site.
As another example, I published a blog on Prague in the Czech Republic where another 4 star hotel was 70% less than on the major travel sites. gain, an incredible discount. I always tell people, sign up for my totally free TripSpin Snap account and you will see great bargains on hotels, cruises, cars and event tickets whenever you are ready to travel.
Now back to your question. I would say it depends upon what you want to do. If you stick to many of the free sights like the fountains at the Bellagio Hotel and seeing all the sights on the Strip and visiting Freemont Street and eating off the strip at the smaller casinos, you won’t spend very much. If you want to see the big shows like Cirque du Soliel you will spend a lot, lot more. In the middle you can take the family on the big wheel called the High Roller for a reasonable price (I have discounted tickets) or see Madame Tussaurds wax museum or take a Gondola ride again at a modest price. Kids may also like the Avengers Station (think Marvel) or Circus Circus where they have rides and games for the kids. There is also the roller coaster at New York New York and the kids always love the pools at the hotels as well. So, basically there are things in every price range, regardless of your budget.
Please let me know if you have any specific questions or if you need help booking anything. Alsi, you can follow ne on Instagram or Google Plus for pictures of any of the above. http://google.com/+XinZhangOnline https://www.instagram.com/gotripspin/
